Nigeria Resilience
In Nigeria, our Lab focuses on female-headed households and displaced single mothers across the country — women navigating displacement with little institutional support or documentation in areas ranging from Benue State to camps in Abuja, Akwa-Ibom, and beyond.
Our Nigeria partners work directly with our Africa Continent Director to support refugees and displaced women. Because states and partners may change over time, we maintain a broad, flexible approach to our partnerships.
By collaborating across different regions and shifting contexts, we document their realities and support local initiatives like temporary shelter, vocational skill acquisition, startup kits, and gender-based violence (GBV) advocacy.
Current Local Partner Example
Endam Home of Hope is a Refugee Women-led organization in Nigeria created in 2018 and registered in 2019. Under the leadership of Dr. Yvonne Ndaga Endam, the foundation provides immediate relief and long-term self-reliance support through safe shelters, vocational training, psycho-social healing, and localized climate-adaptive agricultural projects.
